Biography[]
Past[]
as a young colt, Cheese was an outcast living in the Equestrian city of Manehattan. feeling lonely, he ran away. eventually, he came across Ponyville and ran into a party thrown by Pinkie Pie, developing a romantic interest in her. and he also ate a Cheese-flavoured sandwich at the party, thus earning his cutie mark. and since, has taken inspiration to travel all over Equestria throwing parties.
Pinkie Pride[]
after celebrating a party at Apaloosa, he returns to Ponyville to find Pinkie Pie is eagerly planning out Rainbow Dash's "Birth-Iversary" (an event that is both the rainbow pony's Birthday, but also the anniversary of when she first came to Ponyville) party. However, the festivities are put on hold when Cheese Sandwich appears. Just like Pinkie, Cheese claims to be a "Super Duper Party Pony," but many are soon enamored by many of the features Cheese speaks of in regards to what he can do and appears play the accordion and do many other things which Pinkie can do but many seem to be more attracted towards him. Pretty soon, almost all of Ponyville is eager to see what Cheese can do for the Birthiversary, but Pinkie grows upset and rejected that she seems to have been replaced.
She attempts to find other ways to use her talents, but when she recalls how her parties always made others smile, she breaks out of her funk, and challenges Cheese Sandwich to "An Equestrian Goof-Off".
With Rainbow Dash judging, Pinkie and Cheese face off, with the winner headlining Rainbow's party, with the loser bowing out.
Both of the contestants use polka medley accordion music and all sorts of props, attempting to top the other, but when a giant rainbow-colored pinata falls on Rainbow (and leaves her with a frustrated look), Pinkie calls off the Goof-Off, claiming that Cheese wins by forfeit.
Shortly thereafter, the other ponies note Pinkie attempting to leave town, but tell her that she's overreacting. While Cheese is impressive, they still value her party making, and claim Ponyville is fortunate for having it.
It is then that Cheese Sandwich appears, and Cheese Confesses. He tells how when he was little, he was so shy that no one knew his name. One day on a journey, he stumbled onto Ponyville, where a major party was being thrown, and was inspired to become a party pony, like the little filly who was throwing the party: Pinkie Pie!
Both Cheese and Pinkie then combine forces to hold the Birthiversary party, and everyone has a great time. With the party a big success, Cheese then heads off for another town to bring his talents to and gives his chicken, Boneless, to Pinkie as a "little memento" gift from his visit.
The Last Laugh[]
Cheese begins a new comedy factory a gives Pinkie Pie an invitation to his new comedy factory, as they have not seen each other since the Friendship Festival. rather than getting jealous, Pinkie sees it as an opportunity to find her life's purpose, assuming Cheese Sandwich has found his.
Pinkie arrives at the factory, and finds it more dull than she expected. the factory makes many comedy-related equipment for Cheese and other ponies across Equestria to use in comedy. such as rubber chickens, whoopee cushions, banana peels and other items. but she also finds that Cheese Sandwich has locked himself up in his office with his pet rubber chicken Boneless#2 because he lost his sense of humour after constructing the factory. and he has also hired a new butler assistant named Sans Smirk who understands different forms of comedy but has a lack of laughing himself. Cheese explains to Pinkie that he needs her help to restore his sense of humour or the factory will be forced to face foreclosure. Pinkie attempts to use all of the factory's items, its comedy laboratory and her own sense of humour (with assistance from Sans Smirk) to make Cheese laugh, but to no avail.
Sans Smirk tells Pinkie that because of the failure of attempting to restore Cheese's sense of humour it will force the factory to foreclosure, unless Pinkie can work there herself. but Pinkie refuses, knowing a desolate factory would sit well as her future occupation. but then she realises that Cheese is sad because he cannot hear any pony laugh anymore, and so prompts Cheese to other ponies laugh instead. they succeed, and Cheese breaks out into a comedic Polka-styled musical number which causes all of his co-workers to laugh, including Sans Smirk. but Cheese decides he does not need a factory to be a good comedian and so leaves to continue travelling Equestria.
The Last Problem[]
Cheese, in the future, is married to Pinkie Pie and they have a son named Lil’ Cheese.
Other appearances[]
Cheese has cameos in "Equestria Games" and "Twilight's Kingdom". his only appearance in a feature film is a speechless cameo he has in My Little Pony: The Movie (2017) where he is seen during Pinkie's verse of "We Got This Together".
