- This song was released in honor of the 10th anniversary of Mandatory Fun, and features the songs that have been released from the decade since it was released.
- David Wachtenheim from the ACME Filmworks, the animator behind the Bad Guy and Shake It Off segments, had previously done some animation for the Right Round segment in the Polka Face! music video.
- The segment for Hello, animated by Augenblick Studios, features the girl emerging from a tv set to channel 62, the channel George Newman owns in UHF. Later Al can be seen with a bottle of "Bilchik Wine", referencing Harvey Bilchik, Newman's uncle.
- The segment for Flowers, animated by Ghostbot / Alan Lau, Roque Ballesteros, and Roman Laney, includes multiple references to some of Al's previous works. These include Like A Surgeon, White & Nerdy, Dare To Be Stupid, Eat It, Amish Paradise, Sports Song, and the Album cover for Bad Hair Day. Also hidden on an oil barrel and box in the Eat It standee is the number 27
- Jack D. Evans, the animator behind the We Don't Talk About Bruno segment, had previously done some animation for the Sexy and I Know It segment in a reanimated fan-collab of NOW That's What I Call Polka! reusing the design for Al and 3 of the other polka players, along with giving Al Mirabel's accordion she used in the film, Encanto
- Vivienne Medrano, or Vivziepop, and her studio Spindlehorse animated the segment for Vampire. Al's coffin in this segment also has a sticker reading "FROM: ALBUQUERQUE"
- People have noticed that Al's shirt and the outfits that the Vampires wore were similar to those worn by two of Viv's own characters, Stolas and Blitz, in the Helluva Boss episode "Apology Tour".[1]

- In the WAP segment, animated by Jarrett Heather, who also animated the Despacito segment and previously made music video for Word Crimes, the bucket and mop are advertised as "Only $27" with the page after showing an offer for "27% off on all products"
- Like in the "Closer" segment of The Alternative Polka, profanity is replaced with cartoon sound effects.
- KukoMitzu, the animator behind the Thank You, Next segment, had also previously done animation for the ending credits in the reanimated fan-collab of NOW That's What I Call Polka! One of the dates also brings a Sonichu figure[2] as a gift for the protagonist of the segment.
- Tress MacNeille, voice of the lady saying "Next!" in the "thank u, next" segment, also starred as Lucy in "Ricky," Weird Al's first music video in 1983. MacNeille also previously voiced the Jewish mother in "Pretty Fly For A Rabbi" and one of the participants in "Jerry Springer".
- The Yeti puppets from the opening of the Polka Face! music video make a return in the first half of the Shake It Off segment
