Trivia[]

  • This song is a parody of "Mickey" by Toni Basil. The video is based on the 1950s sitcom "I Love Lucy", starring comedienne Lucille Ball as "Lucy" and her then-husband Dezi Arnaz as "Ricky".
  • It 's referenced on the album's cover with the TV with "I Love Lucy" logo.

Music Video[]

  • This was Al's first music video, directed by Janet Greek.
  • Al plays both himself and Ricky Ricardo in the video; he shot scenes with his band first and then shaved his mustache and put on a wig to film his scenes as Ricky.
  • Al (as Ricky) can be seen oddly clutching the shoulder of his jacket as Lucy pulls the sleeve off of it; this was so the sleeve would tear off the costume properly.
  • Al (as Ricky) can also be seen shaking a bowling pin instead of a maraca, because the prop department didn't have one available.
  • Voice-over actress Tress MacNeille, best known for her various roles on The Simpsons and Animaniacs, plays Lucy in the song and music video.
