Weird: The Al Yankovic Story is a movie written by "Weird Al" Yankovic and Eric Appel. The movie is a satirical biopic on Al's rise to fame as a musician. The film first premiered on September 8, 2022 at the 47th Annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and released November 4, 2022 in the U.S. on Roku. The teaser trailer was released May 3, 2022 and can be viewed here! The 1st trailer released August 29, 2022 and can be viewed here! The release of this film resulted in the release of the soundtrack on the same day.
Plot[]
The unexaggerated true story about the greatest musician of our time. From a conventional upbringing where playing the accordion was a sin, "Weird Al" Yankovic rebels and makes his dream of changing the words to world-renowned songs come true. An instant success and sex symbol, Al lives an excessive lifestyle and pursues an infamous romance that nearly destroys him.
